Peachtree Corners, GA – The Atlanta Business Chronicle has named the Georgia HEART Hospital Program as the No. 1 Best Place to Work for companies based in metro Atlanta with 10 to 24 employees. The Chronicle’s annual award recognizes organizations having exceptional workplace cultures.
Georgia HEART’s team partners with 58 rural hospitals in Georgia to market and administer the Georgia Rural Hospital Tax Credit program. Since the program’s launch in 2017, Georgia taxpayers have donated more than $511 million to eligible rural hospitals, thereby Helping Enhance Access to Rural Treatment (“HEART”) throughout Georgia.
“This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the dedication and hard work of our team,” said Allison Saxby, President and Managing Director of Georgia HEART. “Our employees are deeply invested in our mission and in supporting one another. We’ve worked intentionally to create an environment where everyone has a voice, everyone is willing to pitch in, and we never lose sight of the rural hospitals and communities we serve.”
In its feature on Georgia HEART, the Atlanta Business Chronicle highlighted the organization’s mission-driven environment, collaborative approach and what team members describe as a “praise culture,” where employees regularly recognize and celebrate one another’s contributions.
Georgia HEART promotes awareness of the rural hospital tax credit and assists Georgia taxpayers in redirecting their Georgia income tax payments to their preferred rural hospitals. The tax credit eligible donations help hospitals expand their services by providing funds for new or improved facilities, equipment, and staffing.
While Georgia HEART is proud of the recognition, it is the exceptional performance of the hospital service providers on the front lines who deserve the most credit. “Our hospitals are the ones doing the real work every day,” Saxby said. “It is a privilege for our team to play a role in supporting them and the communities that depend on them.”
Georgia HEART was recognized alongside other honorees at the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Healthiest Employers + Best Places to Work Awards event on August 27th.
